Some Favorite Thanksgiving Quotes...

Happy Thanksgiving from our family, to yours…

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was, "thank you," that would suffice. ~Meister Eckhart

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

For each new morning with its light,For rest and shelter of the night,For health and food, for love and friends,For everything Thy goodness sends.
For flowers that bloom about our feet; For tender grass, so fresh, so sweet; For song of bird, and hum of bee;For all things fair we hear or see,Father in heaven, we thank Thee!~Ralph Waldo Emerson

God has two dwellings; one in heaven, and the other in a meek and thankful heart. ~Izaak Walton

For, after all, put it as we may to ourselves, we are all of us from birth to death guests at a table which we did not spread. The sun, the earth, love, friends, our very breath are parts of the banquet.... Shall we think of the day as a chance to come nearer to our Host, and to find out something of Him who has fed us so long? ~Rebecca Harding Davis

A fun day with the nephews!

So, I have learned that bed rest can lead to insanity. It is very easy to sit in the house all day...and get depressed. So lately I have been bucking the system and getting out of the house, and trying to occupy at least a small amount of my time doing something fun. Yes, I am usually worn out within 10 minutes of my outings...and at times I feel like the babies are going to bust right out of my gut. But it us usually worth the pain if I get to have a little bit of something different in the daily routine of not being able to do much. So-today Johnny got up and left for work soon after 6am. He came home a little early, and we went to Hayden's school and checked him out. We took him out to eat lunch, and then we went to buy some Army men toys for him and Holden. He is such a sweet big brother...he had $11 dollars to spend, and chose to split the money in half so Holden could have Army men too. After buying new Army men, we went to Johnny's shop and Hayden got to see the nail gun, and look at all the pallets that his Uncle Johnny's workers had been building all day. He wanted to shoot the nail gun, but was a little bit afraid. So Johnny showed him how it worked, and he said "Well, my 4-10 is louder than that...but I still don't want to shoot it." We got back in the car, and Hayden wanted to go get Holden out of Pre-K so they could come over to our house and play with the new toys he had picked out. So we went and picked Holden up and all came back to the house. The boys played with their new toys for awhile...then Hayden decided he wanted me to read a Junie B. Jones book to him. Holden wanted to go see the nail gun too since he did not get to go earlier. So Uncle Johnny and Holden went to look at the days work of pallets, and see the nail gun while Hayden and I read. Then we all went out for ice cream. It was a perfect day, with two of the most perfect nephews!

Nine months ago today...

Nine months ago today, I married my best friend...only a month and a half later we found out we were pregnant with twins. Today we have everything but the babies...we're waiting for their arrival. But here are some pictures of their room. Johnny painted all of it-he would not let me near the paint...and my mama and Johnny set it all up...and I have not figured out how to make these pictures go to a different location-I am still playing with this-

So...I am still playing with this blog...and I am sure that I will post a lot within the next little while, but once I get the hang of it-I will slow things down. This is a 3D picture of one of the twins. This is baby B. He was in good position to get a good picture of his face. This was taken about a month ago. He has his daddy's nose...and his mama's big mouth. Actually, he was yawning. I cannot wait to hold him.

And here we begin the Owens Family Blogging!

So I have been wanting to have my own blogspot like other friends of mine...and until now have not taken the time to set it up. So here we are. Finally set up with our happy little family blog page. I do my best to keep everyone informed of life according to the Owens family.
As of now, we are in our 33rd week of pregnancy...with twin boys. Johnny and I are so excited about their arrival. Thanks to everyone for your continued concern and prayer. We have come along way!
Until next time....
